Smallmouth Bass Stocking on West Branch DuPage River
On behalf of the Forest Preserve District of Du Page County, I was hoping that you could help spread the word about an exciting project we are undertaking. We released 100 tagged Smallmouth Bass into the West Branch of Du Page River. Attached is our press release with more information along with a flyer explaining how to report a tagged fish should an angler catch one. We’re hoping for angler participation and cooperation to make this project a success. Below is a link to a short video that the Illinois Natural History Survey put together. In addition, there were several media present at the stocking today, so look for an article or two in tomorrow’s papers. By all means, feel free to contact me should you have any questions!
