I decided to pitch a tent for four nights at the West Fork Sportsman Club in Avalanche Wisconsin to chase trout. Even though this was my first time chasing trout solo, it was not my first time in this section of the Driftless area. I knew the streams well and discovered some new locations. It was very peaceful and I was able to focus on fishing. I met some great people at the camp and on the river. I was able to meet up with NIFT members Marty Mack, Ed Miller and Mel Robinson for dinner at Mel's cabin. I cooked a rubbed venison tenderloin over an open fire and Mel cooked crock pot chili. It was a great time shared by all. NIFT member Jim Gould.
