Dr Nick Wetzel was a member of the Northern Illinois Fly Tyers for over 40 years as well as an inveterate tinkerer. He passed away this past year at 94 and left behind a houseful of interesting “ stuff” including:
Fly tying materials, from necks and saddles to Jungle Cock to dubbing and hooks
Fly tying vises including original HMH premium, HMH Spartan, Regal, Renzetti and Thompson.
Tons of fly thing tools, including surgical quality scissors and clamps
A nice library of fly fishing and fly tying books, magazines and catalogs, including some first editions
Bamboo rod building supplies including wood planning forms, wrapping machines, oven, planes and nickel silver ferrules
Also available is a Sherwood Metal Lathe, tons of hand tools for wood turning and carving, clamps, planes and lots of other tools
All of this will be offered in a one day sale on June 24th.
