Springtime Fly Fishing 2015

On Sunday, I decided to fish a promising pond in Naperville that is known to hold decent fish. I was able to catch numerous nice fish before the storm rolled in. I was using a 150 grain sink tip line. My go to fly was a Borski Slider. I realize this is a saltwater fly designed for Redfish and Bonefish. I began tying it a year ago since it resembles a Gobie, Crayfish and a baitfish. It sinks fast and rarely gets snagged. I have tied several variations of this fly, which have caught a variety of great fish. NIFTY member Jim Gould.
