SW Wisconsin Driftless Fly Fishing

I had a great time pitching a tent for 5 days at the West Fork Sportsmen Club in Avalanche, Wisconsin to chase trout. The weather could not have been better with days in the low 70's and nights around 50 degrees. The main rivers were slightly discolored and low. Fly fishing was average, but rewarding. I had a great time and couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The WFSC President Kim McDaniel has done a great job with the campground and clubhouse. The clubhouse had a couple activities such as a wedding and a baptism in the river. This revenue is great for a small club to succeed. Since my last visit in April, there are now several outhouses located in various areas of the campground. There is an Iron Ranger pay box which is convenient day or night to pay for your stay. The bathroom and shower were very clean and the staff could not be more helpful or friendlier. This keeps me coming back again and again.
