Behind the Fly by Ed Engelman

Click on picture to read about building your own tying vice.

A while back Northern Illinois Fly Tyers posted images from my Mardi Gras Swap that featured beads from Mardi Gras throws. http://northernillinoisflytyers.blogspot.com/2011/03/mardi-gras-bead-swap.html

I am writing to announce the publication of my new book "Behind the Fly". It features plans for 5 fly tying vises that you can build. I have led 4-H club members, boy scouts, and high school classes in making their own vises. Materials for this cost from under $3 to $6 per vise. The book also discusses the early history of fly tying and vise usage and making.

Attached is a press release for the book.

I believe that it would be of interest to your members. The first chapter is available as a free download from:

Thank you for considering adding this to your blog

Tight lines - Ed Engelman.
