This tie was done by Mike Townend from Aberdeen Scottland. He's been tying flies since the age of 12 and about 4 years ago he came across classic salmon flies and decided to give them a try. At the end of last year, he was involved in tying 10 classics for a book by Michael Radencich which was published in 2012.
