NIFT Winter Dinner

The 2013 Northern Illinois Fly Tyers Winter Dinner took place last Saturday at Emmett's Ale House in Palatine. The food, spirits and conversation amongst friends was excellent. Previous NIFT President Dave Gibboney (Oct 2009 - June 2012), was presented a 6' 8" 4wt bamboo rod with a Fred Thomas style taper. This bamboo rod was hand-crafted by NIFT member Ed Miller, who presented the rod to Dave. Karen Mack, the wife of NIFT Treasurer Marty Mack, won a Reddington RS4 8'6" 5wt 4 piece travel rod.
