Willow Creek in Wisconsin

Mel wrote,
I drove up to Willow Creek in Richland County, Wisconsin today for a little fishing. Landed about 5 trout and a few chub, and had one trout take off first upstream and then downstream and I couldn't turn him before he threw the hook. Had lots of strikes and quite a few hook ups that slipped away. Overall, a lot of fun. Most fish were caught on a pink squirrel, a couple on a peacock and pheasant tail nymph pattern, and no takers on a prince nymph. Saw one blue wing mayfly, a few midges, and just a few splashy rises of fish hitting the surface.
