I was tired of watching the Bears take a beating from the AZ Cardinals. It was a sunny November day, close to 70 degrees and the fly rod was still in the trunk. Since I was in the south burbs watching the game at my brother's house, I left early to fish a retention pond that has produced many nice Largemouth Bass. I was not expecting to catch a Northern Pike.
