Fox River Mornin' Smallies

Words from Jeff K.

Fox has been on fire the past week. The water up by us has been clear and the bronzebacks have the feedbag on for the coming winter. I have been hammering on a "Ralph's Minnow". A steelhead pattern from Ralph who is a member of our Milwaukee steelhead group. It is a craft fur fly that comes alive in the water. I have been out the past 3 mornings and on average have caught 6 fish in an hour, then I go home for a cup of joe. Nice advantage of living close to the river.
