Bragging Rights

What can we say. It was a record day for us. We hooked 12 in water just above freezing. The conditions were perfect, overcast, and nice flow (625 cfs). We decided to fish spawn first thing, hoping the water would warm by afternoon so we could swing flies. The fishing was so spectacular, that we never broke out the spey rods. All of the steelhead were chrome bright! and never gave up the fight. With water just above freezing, these fish never quit. Between the awesome colors and the never give up spirit of these fish, words do not describe the admiration I have for them. What a great day to spend with a great fishing buddy! I will never forget it!
